I have to thank so many of you guys for voting (1,210 votes!). Because of this, I feel a little bit guilty about what happened. On Monday (12/10/2012) I was getting ready to buy the winning shoe and something absolutely tragic happened (it was truly  tragic).

I was quite upset because these shoes were wonderful. Plus they were Alexander Wang, one of my favorite designer. I thought I would go ahead and buy the runner up.

Yep, got myself some nice Tory Burch wedges.

Now, let's hope it's still cold when they arrive.

I went in for a meeting a few days ago and this lady kept asking me if I was a model. She said she rarely sees women in Houston dress like me so she assumed I was one. All very cool, but this is Houston. Houston, TX is fairly conservative when it comes to street fashion. I can wear heels with my boyfriend jeans and I will probably stand out like a sore thumb. Often times I feel fairly overdressed for the grocery store or even the mall. I just tell myself that if I don't throw on something nice, nothing nice will happen to me. For example, today I wore sweats to my parent's place which I spend a good amount of time b!tching and stitching. Not only did Plato chewed the lace off of my 6 year old Pumas...I had to go out in public with sweats with thread hanging off of my head (not that there is anything wrong wit it. I just believe that sweats are only acceptable for Black Friday or shopping in long lines).

I digress....

It was very sweet of the lady to compliment me. It actually made my day and it's very flattering. Yes, I get compliments everyday via the inter-web. Sometimes, it's nice to hear it in person ya' know?

Don't worry, my head won't explode over it.

This was what I wore when the lady complimented me. I think the hat was very model status, don't you think?

This might be audacious to a few self proclaimed fashionistas, but my shoes usually costs more than my whole outfit.

BTW--I have to greatly thank my dad for making this balcony safe for me. I loved the old wood on my old balcony. Turns out it was so moldy that the balcony was just a giant sponge waiting to come crashing down.He tore the old one down and built me a completely new balcony. It's connected to my sewing room, sew I can enjoy our pool. Most importantly, I can now take plenty of serious "model"  looking photos without seriously hurting myself.
I feel like I need a watermark or something on my photos. I'll figure all of that out later. Unless, one of you guys want to come up with a watermark for me? I lack the computer graphic skills for that kind of stuff.

There is something about a cool pair of tights that makes your legs so extremely alluring.

I went to see the Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit in Dallas last year, and my professor who is a huge fan of his let me borrow one of his mesh shirts.

It felt a bit sheer, so I wore it over a blouse. Although it wasn't exactly tattoo, it gave me an illusion that the shirt might or might not be see through.

Since then, I've been totally loving anything that Andy Cohen from Bravo called "nude illusion". Tights are definitely no different.

Have fun with this and don't forget to shoot me a tweet if you tried it out @RiceSushi02.

Hello Hello My Fellow Shoe Junkies,

First pair of business. I need to find a pair of shoes to love for the month of January. Instead of picking out a pair all by my lonesome, I have decided to list the ones I am interested in here. I will have a poll opened for a week, and you will help me decide which pair to buy. For the whole month of January, I will do a review on the shoes, find cheaper alternatives and review them,  also style the designer and the alternative on this blog. Like I said, I wanted to explore my love for shoes. What is a better way than to experiment it through this blog. Let's hope I still enjoy shoes after all of the examinations.

Let's start with the "cheapest" one and go right on down the line.

Aren't they just oh so wonderful? My top three would be Emporio Armani Ankle Boots, Dolce & Gabbana Silk Mesh Sandals, and lastly See By Chloe Pointed Booties (my favorite of the three).

Tell me what you think of them in the comment down below. If you like to help me decide on which one, go ahead and vote here.
Feel free to look at the results of this poll if you like. Let's see what I end up for the month of January!

Hiyo!
Welcome to my addiction. For 2013 I have decided to indulge my shoe loving habits by starting this blog. As with most blogs, the life span of it is pretty obscure. Do I plan to accomplish my ambitions? My heart crosses it's little veins and silently hopes that I do. Of course, my excuse for not maintaining most of my inter-web goals are due to a little something called "life".

One thing on my bucket list is to own a beautiful collection of shoes. Not just designers, but also affordable quality shoes.

With this blog, I hope to explore the world of that is the "designer" shoe. In doing so, I have set out a budget each month where I will buy one designer for less than $300. I will compare it to "lower" brands and share my opinions with my readers. If in the future I can handle a more hefty budget, I'll consider buying shoes that are in season. For now, let set it at $300 or less. After all, a girl has to eat ^_~. And Pay Mortgage. And Car Insurance. And take care of an obese bunny.

A few things that I definitely don't want to happen to this blog (and probably will happen anyways). Warning: Mean K.L below.
1) I don't want anyone to think that I am bragging about my current/future collection of shoes. This is simply for me to explore my love and the architecture of shoes.
2) I know speculations of how I can afford these things will arise. I am comfortable with people guessing and assuming. The truth is, I came across a shoe goddess.
3) I don't want anyone to think that I have changed from the girl who would rather thrift her things to a "snobby" brand lover. That girl is still there, she's just exploring another side of her. If you don't like this girl...just simply enjoy the girl on YouTube.

I can understand when starting something new (change), people will react differently towards it. I can't change any negative reactions, but that is inevitable. All I can say is "Hey! I love shoes!"

If you share my vice, how about you join me on this journey. Hopefully we all can learn to appreciate shoes for more than "Ohhh look how cute they are!"
