<![CDATA[Bow Tied Tops/Shirts]]>Fri, 11 Jan 2013 19:58:51 GMThttp://www.lonelysole.com/2/post/2013/01/bow-tied-tops.html
Measurement around the neckline on the shirt is needed. Since we are working on the half pattern, take the neck measurement and divide it by two. This will be referred to as measurement #1.

A-B: The width you like the bow to be. I made mine 1 1/2".
B-D: How long you want the tie to be plus measurement #1.
A-C: How long you want the shortest part of the tie to be plus measurement #1.
C-D: Draw a straight line connecting the two points.
A-E: is Measurement #1.
E: Is your center front where the other side of the tie meet in the center.. When you cut out the pattern (four pieces total) you'll put them right sides together, and sew until you reach the center front. That would be letter E. Mark it on your fabrics so you will know.

If you did this..please upload a picture here.
